Happy Thanksgiving !

Hello , This year my family had a great thankgiving. I took lots of pictures and not only was it Thanksgiving but it was also my brothers birthday so I took pictures of that to. I will Post on my family blog when I get a chance. Also we went shopping on black friday it was fun .The Lord truly blessed my family this thanksgiving. The Paths of the Lord are the Guidelines of Life

-Psalms 25:8 "Good and upright is the Lord therefore he teaches sinners in the way."
-Psalms 25:10 "All the paths of the lord are mercy and truth , To such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
-Psalms 25:9 " The humble he guides in justice, and the humble he teaches his way.

The Lords paths are like truth , mercy , justice, and many more character traits in theirselves. Many times I fall short and stray from the righteous paths of the Lord, but because he is such a merciful God I find my way back on. I thank the Lord so much for providing me with his paths as guidelines to keep me on the right track and follow his ways all the days of my life. I hope this encourages you. Looking over Gods Mercies

Psalms 136:4 "To him alone does great wonders, For his mercy endures forever ;

I was reading Psalms 136 and just realizing that there are so many trials that God has delivered us from. There is so much mercy that he has given us. I thank God for all he has done , he has blessed our world with so much. There is so much he is doing for us even now. Sometimes I dont realize all that I have and instead I think about all I dont have. Then I remember I should be thanking God for what he has blessed me with I hope this encourages you and I hope you have a blessed day !

Honoring Thy Father and Thy Mother

Matt 15:4 "For God commanded saying, 'Honor your Father and your Mother',and, He who curses Father or Mother , Let him be put to death."

Recently I have been praying alot about how I honor my Mother. Sometimes I may not agree with her and I disrespectful and not honoring to her. I have been asking God to change my heart, because I know this is not how he wills for his children to treat there parents. I am working really hard to respect and honor my Mom in everyway , whether asked me to or whether I just take Initiative. My Mom just had a birthday yesterday and we had fun . Her cake was a pumpkin cheesecake.It was really good. I am so thankful to God that he blessed me with a Mom like her. I hope this encourages you. Have a blessed day !

Gaining Wisdom brings Success

Ecclesiastes 10:10

" If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge , the he must use more strenghth : But wisdom brings success."

I am in school right now, and recently I became discouraged because I had to leave school for a week. I have felt really restless and like I had so much to catch up on, in school. I missed alot of assignments and I felt like I was gonna fail, and it was to late catch up.
Phillipians 4:6 " Be careful for nothing : but in everything by prayer and supplication without thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God."

Matthew 6:25 "Therefore I say to you, Do not worry about your life, ..."

This verse basically says dont worry. After I realized I had nothing to worry about I prayed that god would show me all I needed to know and lead me in the right direction. After this God showed me wisdom which was "I could do all thing through christ which strenghthen me" (phillipians 4:12). So I took my work step-by-step and I finished it.I really hope this encourages you. God has wisdom and every time I read his word I feel more successful !

Trust In God with All of Your Heart =-)

Psalm 37:3 " Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness.
Prov. 3:5 " Trust in the Lord with all thyne heart and, And lean not on thyne own understanding;

Until about two years ago, I had lots of trouble trusting God. It seemed like everytime something good happened to me and my family something bad would happen after. Then I started feeling like God didnt care about me. So I went through the bible and I looked up trust in my concordance and then I read The verses (above) and realized that God was there for me all along and that he will "never leave nor forsake me" and that I have absoulutly no reason yo ever worry. God is always there for you and you never have to worry. I hope this encourages you .Have a wonderful blessed day.

Blessings we take for granted

Sometimes I know I take my blessings for granted.I know that I should Be so much more grateful for so much that I have.So what the Lord has been teaching me is to be more grateful than just saying thank you.To cherish my mom no matter how she makes feel, to love her and enjoy her and to be grateful to have sucha a blessing as her.Also even you may get irritated with one of your siblings think how wonderful it is that God blessed you with them and be thankful.I walk around all the time and I see so many problems that could be solved if we were grateful. So that's just some hing that I am working on. I just turned 15 on the 18th and My mom is going to get me a laptop if she can and I will be able to blog a lot more . Being a Disciple

Hello Everybody,
I just came back from the ATI Conference I mentioned a few weeks ago. I learned about a lot of things , One in particular being that I had a really bad gossip problem. I had met the Duggars while I was there and told one of the Duggar girls something that was so immature and embarrassing for me . After I said it I felt really embarrassed. I've always had a really bad problem with talking about people so right then I chose to try my hardest to break the habit and not talk about people anymore. So back to my title. While I was at the ATI conference I learned so much; and another thing I learned was how to be a disciple and a good influence to those around me.When you are at the pool or at the grocery store or anywhere and you get a chance to minister, you should totally take an opportunity to teach them about Gods Word. With everything that is going on in our economy and everything that is happening with our new President. I feel like the time is now or never . Girls, we have to reach and minister to as many people as we can. I don't know when the Lord is coming back, but I do know that I am not the only to feel that he is coming back soon. Let's be a bright light unto this world and make our father in heaven proud.

John 15:7

Hello,
I am really excited I leave in about 3 days to see my cousins and go to an incredible conference , to be totally devoted to my lord(Not that I'm not already,Ha ha).Anyways I don't remember when exactly but was looking up some verses in my bible and I came across john 15:7 "If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish and it will be done for you." Now at first I figured really great , "Lord I would like a sewing machine, a new camera battery and some money". So after that I waited and waited but nothing happened . so I read the verse again and again. Suddenly it came to me, Tory, when the Lord says that verse you can not just expect him to give exactly what you ask for the way you asked for it you must pray for it through Gods Will . Then you shall receive what you ask for in the lords time and his way. Ladies, This showed me that sometimes we may ask for things but we must also know that when we ask the lord them that sometimes we do not get what in ways we would expect.Well I hope that encourages and helps those of you that are like me know that when we ask the Lord for the things we need or desire that he will give discernment and patience to wait for his will to be done. My Camara has Arrived

I am so happy my camara just arrived this morning, that means that hopefully tomorrow I will put pics on. Just today me and my brother who are being homschooled went on a trip to some museums today and a botanical garden. Hello ,
I am so totally overwhelmed with joy, The Lord has just been so wonderful to me. My Mom has been looking really sad lately, at first I just didnt know what to think about it. So I prayed about it for a week and finally the Lord said to me that some of her being sad had to do with the fact that I and My Brothers and Sisters were not being the best children to her. So I realized that I was being really lazy and careless and not doing what I should to help her out, I felt so bad. So I decided that I was gonna ask her forgiveness and do the best that I can to help ease her load. So I confessed to her and to the lord and right after I instantly had so much joy I could barely contain it. I just felt so happy and so relieved. I just knew that was the problem that god wanted me to deal with.I also looked at some verses in the bible and god gave me one in particular that she just loved when I shared it with her. Camara Status

Hello,
Unfortunately,I am ordering my camara so I won't be able to put pics on till about next week but on the upside,I am starting a family blog, and of course that means you will be updated about my family and what we are up to.I am really thankful to the Lord though for blessing me with everything that he has given me this past year.I can not believe of how fast time is going by, I feel like only yesterday was new years.I haven't been able to memorize as much of psalms 119 as I've wanted to, but my goal is to finish before the year is over.Well here is a good verse that I have been medidtating on and it has really helped me with temptations of my past and given me strength to overcome them: 1 corinthian 10:13 " No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability,but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Well that's it and I really hope it helps you as much as it has me.

My trip to GA

I am really excited .I am going to see my cousins in GA in about 4 weeks and i cant wait.Last time i saw them it was around this time last year.The lord has really been working in my life his grace and mercy are amazing.next Wednesday i finally get my digital camera and i will be able to put pictures on my blog,(so excited!!!),anyways i had a very relaxed Easter we have found a church yet so we just do home church and so our Easter was pretty relaxed after that.Well I am doing well ,As you all know I started memorizing psalms 119 and it is going fairly well i stopped for a while but my goal is to finish it by the end of the year.Anyways have a blessed week!!!

The Lords wonderous works

Well Hello ,
I am really excited today . The Lord has just been so good to me and has answer all of my prayers exactly the way I have been praying for them to be answered. I can't even begin to explain how wonderful and powerful the Lord is. This year has been a pretty ruff year .My family and I have had a lot of trials and tribulations that we've had to overcome and we definitely would not have even began to even have overcome our troubles if it was for the lords wonderful works.One of my prayers this year was that I would be able to go and see my family in Georgia so I talked to my mom about it and next thing I know I am leaving in may.Another one is I was recently thinking about all my family and friends and how they are all doing and what not so I decided it was time for me to start writing letters again . So one of the letters was to one of my best friends who lives in N.C. and we met at an ATI Conference in Tennessee and, Anyways I wrote a letter to her and asked if she was going to the ATI conference this year and she said yes and we were both so happy about that because we haven't seen each other in about two years, so it was great to hear that. Anyways those are just two of the many wonderful works that the lord has done for me to prove that he lives and is there for m no matter what. I hope this really touches you and shows you that know matter what you have done or are going through you can pray about it and that prayer will be answered even though sometimes not the way you expect it to be . Keep believing in him!!!
